Mount Rainier is a 14,410-foot active stratovolcano located in Washington State, serving as the centerpiece of Mount Rainier National Park. Established in 1899, the park spans over 236,000 acres and is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including subalpine meadows, ancient forests, and extensive glacial systems.
One of the most photographed and recognized structures in the world, the Seattle Space Needle was built as a cultural centerpiece for the 1962 World’s Fair, whose theme was “The Age of Space.”
