Orca Books Cooperative is Olympia, Washington’s largest independent bookstore, located at 315 5th Ave SE in the heart of downtown. Established in the early 1990s, it transitioned into a member-owned cooperative on April 1, 2020, ensuring its continued service to the community.

The co-op offers a diverse selection of new and used books, cards, journals, and locally-produced items by Olympia artists and craftspeople . It also hosts literary events, book groups, and workshops, fostering community education and engagement.

Orca Books is open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Customers can browse in-store or shop online through their official website or via Bookshop.org, supporting both the cooperative and independent bookstores nationwide.
